Sugar Scrub

Pamper your client and enjoy a fun activity with this simple homemade sugar scrub recipe from One Little Project at a Time. Sugar scrub is a luxurious addition to your bath or shower routine, as it gently exfoliates the skin, while the oils keep skin hydrated. Be sure to consult with your client on their preference of essential oils, or you can skip them all together. With a few ingredients and just 5 minutes, you can help your client create a fun spa day right at home!

Supplies:

1 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup of coconut oil

10-15 drops of Lemon and/or Lavender Essential Oils

Food Coloring (optional)

Steps:

  1. Melt the coconut oil in the microwave for about 25 seconds, until it has liquefied
  2. Slowly pour the oil into the sugar, mixing until you get a consistency you like
  3. (Optional) Add up to 5 drops of food coloring to the sugar mixture and stir until color is consistent
  4. Add in a few drops of each of your essential oils
  5. Transfer sugar scrub to an airtight jar or container and enjoy!

If properly stored, sugar scrub can last up to 2-3 weeks. See step by step, photos here
